Re: Rich-running 164S

The rebuilt motor from Auto Sports Unlimited came without spark plug well
seals. Dalton of Auto Delta estimates more than a quart of oil standing in
all six of the wells. Am looking forward to working with ASU on this issue.
Tim there has been great to work with so far.

Learned some sad news for Auto Delta customers. Dalton's last day is
Friday. He's going to Carriage House Mercedes-Benz, which is where he came
from. Cutting his commute by about an hour. Learned a little more. Dalton
is English and was introduced to Alfas while working for M-B there. The
dealer also carried Alfa, but eventually dropped the marque. "Alfa was just
too difficult to work with," Dalton says.

Isn't there a saying about that? The more things change, the more they stay
the same....

Steve- Have you/they pulled any diagnostic codes, checked fuel pressure,
checked tail-pipe emmisions, and checked for vacuum leaks? One possible
(easy) fix could be a dead-headed fuel pressure regulator which would
send the fuel pressure sky-high; mpg's way low. A simple r&r would solve
that.
