Old Spider Exhaust Question

The center muffler on my 69 Duetto Jr. has developed a few pinholes. 
I'm not quite ready to spring for a new exhaust so I'm wondering how
loud it will be if I replace it with a straight pipe? I know this
question was addressed before but I wasn't paying enough attention.
