75 Turbo Evoluzione

In AD7-258 Chris Papadopoulos who has a new sealed box stock 75 Turbo
Evoluzione engine but "can't find it's stats such as compression ratio,
standard power output, maximum feasible boost, and such things, so before we
go about getting it race ready, we would like to know a bit about how it would
run."

The only number I have is the power output, according to the book, which is
285 CV (DIN) at 5800 rpm. Crowding 160 hp/liter.

The book says that the Autodelta-prepared two-liter Alfetta Turbodelta had
produced 150 CV at 5500 rpm and that the equally Autodelta-prepared two-liter
Nuova Giulietta Turbodelta had produced 170 CV at 5000 rpm, while the
non-"Evoluzione" 1.8 75 turbos are credited with 165 CV. .

I know that this is no help at all, except for the rest of us to marvel and
wonder. Since both the 160 CV two liter of the Giulietta and the 285 CV 1.8
liter of the 75 were developed as homologation specials to run for the Touring
Car championship, I have to assume that there were seriously different limits
on the fuel which could be used in the different years.

Good luck-

John H.
