Muilano clutch problems

 Surely the hydraulics -- perhaps master cylinder.  (I think breakage of
the pivot in the transaxle would not be a gradual failure.)  Loss of
fluid?  Linkage <to> the master cylinder?  I think there are springs which
<should> return the pedal, even if the seals fail.
