Milano VIN (bis)

Brian Carter narrowed his Milano VIN question down:
>> Definitely not simple, especially since my numbers aren't even close. My
last 7 are 1050300 ('87 3.0). I guess it will be one of those great
unanswered mysteries.<<

D'Amico Tabucchi says the numbers for 3.0 Milanos (ZAR162B60) run from
00051011 to 00051550 for 1987, 00051556 to 00051590 for 1988. The last six
digits of his seven would put the car as a 1986 2.5, but that first "1" is a
killer; according to the book there isn't ANY Milano (or other V-6 75) which
has a "1" there. In fact, checking further, there isn't any 75 of any
description with a "1" in that position.

So, the book, while very useful, may not be infallible. Either that, or Brian
may be a bit confused. (Sure its an Alfa? Does it look like an Alfa? Does it
sound like an Alfa? Honda, perhaps? Volvo?)

Enjoy it, whatever it may be.
