Brad,
Why do you want to go back to the original bushings? The ball joints last
practically forever, so they won't need replacing anytme soon.
If its a roadcar, you can keep the rubber bushings, and switch to a
polyurethane bushings. I have polyurethane on my roadcar, fitted by the PO,
and it doesn't affect the ride at all, the suspension is 23.5mm torsion bars
instead of standard, and Koni Red shocks on all four corners. I am going to
27mm bars soon anyway, so ride comfort isn't high on my priority list
obviously.....
If it's a racecar, then you do the 105 ball joint switch. We had it done 6
years ago for our Alfetta and haven't looked back. Of course, any detriment
to the ride is masked by the fact the car has a full race setup....
