164 Cold Start Sensor ?

I am confused.

I would think the sensor on Cat is called oxygen sensor not cold start sensor.
There is a Motronic temperature sensor close to Thermostat housing, this
is also next to temperature sensor for coolant temp. gauge. When Motronic
temp sensor is bad, car cannot re-start when hot, must wait until
engine is cold.

Motronic sensor only takes minutes to replace, you need a new brass gasket
to make good seal, The oxygen sensor can take hours or even more if exhaust
bolts are rusted. I put new stainless nuts there with anti-sieze compound to
avoid next frustration.
