Milano Gold Automatic?

A good portion of New Orlean's population has temporarily settled here
in McComb, MS (Georges).  There was a white '88 Milano Gold at Burger
King this morning.  It was an automatic, had the same velour seats as my
Gold and had the gold clover leaf.  It did not have cruise control (my
87 Gold does have cruise - dealer option).

I have seen an 88 Gold automatic advertised in Alfa Owner. For some
reason, I was thinking that only Platinums had automatics.  And, BTW, I
have also seen an 87 Gold advertised in Alfa Owner as having an
automatic.  I didn't think automatics where available until 1988.   Can
anyone shed some light on this?
