>From glove box there are two plastic plugs cover access to two screws.
Remove these two screws( be ready to catch them with magnetic device )
and lower the whole control unit( you should cut the electric ties
that secure those wires ). you may also need to remove screws that
secure floor light bracket first.  You will learn that putting back 
these two screws is much more difficult. 

The hard part is how to identify the box because there are so many 
boxes there.  Unless you have a new one at hand, do not proceed, 
unless you just want to by-pass it. 

I got an used one from APE for $30.
