Subject: 164 Windsheild/Wiper Arm Contact

Hi!  i tried once to carefully file down the part of the wiper arm
     that rubs against the underside of the hood; due to the springyness
     of the wiper arm, it would continue to do it even after removing
     a bunch of metal (1 bunch = ~2.5mm).  i then painted it, but of
     course the paint rubbed off!
     
     at the concours in SantaFe, i was told by people that all (or
     nearly all) 164s did that & not to worry about it!
