91 164L Auto Tran Info Needed

Hello friends,

I'm trying to pinpoint a shifting problem with the automatic 
transmission (without taking it apart) in my 91 164L.  The shop 
manual is not detailed enough on the inner workings of the 
transmission + the diagnostics procedures are sketchy.  Can 
anyone provide (or tell me how to get it) literature (i.e. 
diagrams, detailed functional decription) which would help me 
narrow down the possible causes of the problem?
Any help is appreciated..
