This has got way out of hand. Your "lesson" on electrochemical reactions is
right on target, and just what I thought I had said. The effects of
aluminium/steel in juxtaposition were pointed out to our panel shop group
with a vintage Rolls Royce one of the participants was restoring, used to
illustrate the preferential corrosion of the aluminium panels where they
were attached to steel parts. All this discussion is inconsequential
compared with the offence taken by some to my cracks which were meant to be
humorous but obviously misfired horribly, and for this I am truly sorry.
