Innocuous subject line

Following Andy Kress' posting in AD7-061 I sent the following, but it didn't
go through, probably because either Majordomo or AOL intercepted a harbinger
of pornography in my subject line- ("Supers w/snakes, and nude-")
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
Profound thanks to Andy Kress for

(1) witnessing that his Giulia Super has no 'C' pillar badge or even a rivet
hole. I was damned sure mine didn't, but under the weight of overwhelming
evidence I was ready to concede a major memory lapse (still possible, but
comforting to think otherwise), and

(2) providing chapter and verse that BOTH 'the snake' and the small round
badge were fitted to Supers at various times, according to the parts book..

My parts book, like his, has nothing indicating revision number, manufacturing
dates, model years or total range of chassis covered. But mine (bought in '67)
is in three sections- T.I., plus supplement covering the added or differing
parts on the T.I. Super, plus another supplement covering the added or
differing parts on the Super, while his interleaves the data, putting all the
fregi e profilati together. It seems reasonable to assume that his parts-book
is later, that his car and mine, both nude, were early, Watry's two cars with
the round badge later, and the genuine SNAKE used on some Supers still later.

FWIW? Thanks, I may not have NEEDED that, but it sure is welcome.

John
