there were some very early post-war; most all car companies picked up after
the war with minor variations of their pre-war models, as war production
needs had completely taken over the auto industry and there were no new
designs done by most car companies for a good 5-6 years. it took a year or
two after the war for engineers to complete more modern designs and get
them into production, on both sides of the atlantic.
