One man brake bleeding

Re that 4-tube scheme I use for my brake bleeding, David in A.D.

However, does this method not require 4 containers to catch the
fluid leaving each of the brakes via the hoses?

Well yes I guess it normally would, but it happens that I
do this job on the handy sloping drive outside the garage and just
hose the overflow away when finished. No sweat!

>>>
And most important, does this method guarantee that air will not
pass by the brake nipple threads and so be introduced into the
system?
>>>

Well I think it probably does ensure no air, because since the
tubes are leaving the nipple on an upwards slope from the nipple,
the entire cavity from the caliper cylinder, through the nipple and
thread area, and on up into the tube, is totally full of fluid. And
the fluid is sitting there with a few inches of hydrostatic pressure
at the thread inner face as well.... so I guess it would be a very
long shot for air to be sucked in from the outside via the threads
in preference to the fluid which is totally immersing the whole
internal shebang.
The bottom line though, is that it works, so I guess no air can be
entering in practice, all theorising aside.

How does one prevent fluid drool at the valves on compression.

Simply by not loosening the nipples more than you need to, which
is very little. (And in any case, I guess if there were a drool
problem with this method, you'd have it with any other rmethod
too...... all methods involve valve opening and compression of
some sort or another, I guess).

Keep those comments coming,
