Subject: ADVISE PLEASE !! Re AR Business people

Alfa Romeo friends

PS Has anyone EVER met ANYONE in the auto business who was not a liar and

a thief, who actually had integrity and self respect? We have not, and

now, finally, we will give up looking and hoping that there is such a

person.

By the way, a not inconsequential fact : we LOVE our Giulietta. Driving it

is simply a joy.>>>>>

Firstly, I'm very glad you enjoy "driving" the 750. I actually feel sorry for
true show cars. The look so sad up on their little velvet turntables.
In answer to your PS question, On a recent visit to Orion Motors in Omaha I
saw a restoration project very similar to the one you described (except it
gettin done correctly). the owner was there and she was just bubbling with
excitement. The chrome plate on the larger pieces of brightwork were weak but
the paint was deadly smooth (I'm pretty sure it was waiting for it's finish
buff) Black and shiney.
I've had no actual business dealings with the folks at Orion Motors. But Jack
Beck (the owner) has what I believe to be the best repution available to a
person involved in the auto industry. He seems to be one of those guys who
would sooner turn your business away then deliver a shoddy product/service to
you. While he handles a lot more than just Alfas (you wouldn't believe the
cars he showed us the day we visited, the race prep projects he was working on
were just amazing).
I think you would at the very least benefit from any referals Mr. Beck could
give you. He cares about satisfied customers and beautiful cars.

I'm curious, why did you pay for work that did not meet your declared
standards?
Any good lawyer could have liberated your car without too much dificulty.
Wish you better luck with the next paint job.
If you ever want to feel really good about the paint on your car, I'll give
you a peak at the Earl Scheib special the PO slapped (and I do mean slapped)
on my GTV6.

thus increasing accelaration and top speed
