Steering creaks etc.

My 1983 Alfa creaks pretty loudly when I turn. In addition, I have
noticed that sometimes, after driving on the highway for a while, my
car's steering wheel will sort of pull to the right. Any suggestions?
Also, is there a way to tighten steering and the throttle? There seems
to be a bit too much play in these thing.
