speeds in gears

     Gordy, for my 82 Spider, I calculated the following:
     1st gear ..... 5.27 MPH/1000 RPM
     2nd   "  ..... 8.73   "   "   "
     3rd            12.73
     4th            17.46
     5th            22.0
     This was for stock 14 x 6 wheels with 185-70 tires (851 revs per mile)
     So, 70 mph = 3182 rpm in 5th
                  4009  "   " 4th
                  5499  "   " 3rd
                  & over 8000 in 2nd!
     
     FYI: gear ratios in gears:
          1st ..... 3.32
          2nd ..... 1.99
          3rd ..... 1.35
          4th ..... 1.00
          5th ..... 0.79
     Final drive ratio ..... 4.10
