Becker Europa radio light

Hey all,
I completed the radio installation in my NOS dash for Turner, and it
even works. Mono never sounded so good. The old radio even plays new
tunes. :) The question is: I'm bitterly disappointed that the radio light
either doesn't exist, or doesn't work. Anyone out there with this radio
know if I'm missing a light? I'd like to see that old radio face glowing
its vintage color as I drive at night through the western states on my way
to Monterey.
For the record, I did use a 4" circular cutting tool attached to my
power drill to hack my NOS dash. It worked very well, but one has to be
careful to start straight, as the large swath the blade cuts can wreak a bit
of havoc if one starts crooked. This big blade made cutting the 7" long
cuts quite easy. I cut from the frontside of the face, splintering was not
a problem. I did purchase a Dremel tool to cut the 2" side cuts, it's
assortment of nibbling tools worked very well to finish the job. All in all
the radio went in very nicely.
The new dash is quite acceptable, worlds better than my old one. The
old radio looks quite at home in it, and I'm pleased. While the dash was
out I installed two headlight relays per that wonderful article in St.
Louis' i saluti website. I used two Bosch 0 332 019 150 relays purchased at
the local VW hotrod shop ( how about that, Kathy Jo!!). I haven't driven
the car at night to see if I picked up any brightness, which I'm hoping to.
