administrivia: reading the digest again...

i'm getting things squared away here so that i can once again follow the
discussions on our fine digest.

i've been told, offline, that some of the discussion might be getting out
of hand. not having seen any of the flamage, i don't have any preconceived
notions about who might be "over the top", but now that i am at least
attempting to keep up, i might well feel the need to caution anyone who i
feel is getting overly personal in discussions.
