Milano Head Gasket

Hello all,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. You've all told me the same
thing, so I guess I am going to have to face it and do the Head Gaskets
AGAIN. Not looking forward. Anyway, in answer to your question, yes, I
did have the heads checked for flatness. Don't know the details, but I
do know that they checked for warpage (maybe that was my mistake here).
The machine shop is T&G en Greenbrae, CA (Marin county). Never had
problems with them before, but then again, they don't specialize on
Alfas although they had done them before. I did re torque them after
about 500 miles.....it was really hard to re torque the one nut next to
the brake booster though.
What I've done yesterday was put some "Bar's Leaks" in the overflow
tank. This was recommended to me by a shop. Any opinions on that? I
am also planning to re torque them again....would this work or is it a
waste of time? Also, is it any way to find out which of the two heads
is the one giving me the problem? It was a real hassle to remove the
driver's side one because I had to remove the brake booster......a lot
of work. Thank you again for all your help, and any other suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. Take care.
