Would it be possible, to vent the oil fumes from the engine into the
atmosphere, instead of the air intake system. Surely, it cannot be good for
performance to breath hot oil. I can see this being ok on a brand new engine,
but as the engine wears?

I think this was once a tweek on old BMW's, but cannot remember the details.
