Spider Woes

     My 82 Spider, while suffering from a lack of excersize due to 
     California's recent rain has developed two maladies I'd like to 
     correct:
     1. Smell of gas in the cockpit after being parked for a long time 
     (days to weeks). Where is the most common place to look for a leak?
     2. Vibration in the throttle pedal that tickles the toes on my right 
     foot! Seems to be there above 2100 or so RPM's, and is there all the 
     way to redline. My right foot is getting tired of this, and the left 
     on the throttle is not recommended by ARDONA. Any suggestions? Motor 
     mounts? or ????
