16" wheels on Spider

I am about to purchase new wheels and tires for my 90 Spider.  Can 16" wheels
with 205/50 tires fit without any problems?  I have seen 205 tires on 14" and
15" wheels on Spiders, so I am assuming the 16s should not be a problem.
Anyone with experience on this?  I plan on getting the wheels this Saturday,
so any help by then would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
