From the link below, it does appear that the Alfa 6 engine
uses 5 individual carbs.

I've got a classic car magazine somewhere that shows a picture
of a rare single choke Weber carb, that doesn't look disimilar
to the ones in that picture. Apparently Ferrari used Weber single
choke carbs on their early 4 cylnder engines.
Perhaps Dellorto made a variation on the Weber's?

Maybe there were model year differences, but I've heard owners
complain about having to synch 6 carbs. The procedure is pictured on
this web site http://www.movit.de/htm/alf6carb.htm and it looks like
6 single-throat carburetors to me.
