[alfa] Re: Echlin vs Bosch

I can't comment on Echlin, but I can tell you that last time I checked, APE would sell you a good used OEM Bosch part for $40.

That said, unless the idle speed is too low when the engine's cold, or too high when the engine's hot, I wouldn't expect a new AAV to cure much.

(rough idle went away when I replaced the engine, retaining original AAV...)

Subject: [alfa] Echlin vs Bosch

I am trying to buy an auxiliary air valve (hopefully will cure the cold rough
idle) but I have not been able to locate the Bosch valve (locally).

The local Napa offers the Echlin (?) brand but for the past 20 years I have
always insisted on Bosch, has someone had a bad experience with the
Napa/Echlin? or should I better wait and get the Bosch from the usual vendors?

Thanks in advance,
