I can't comment on Echlin, but I can tell you that last time I 
checked, APE would sell you a good used OEM Bosch part for $40.

That said, unless the idle speed is too low when the engine's cold, 
or too high when the engine's hot, I wouldn't expect a new AAV to 
cure much.
