[alfa] Metal valve stem woes

Hi All,

A local shop recently trashed, and consequently paid for the repair of, one of the stock GTV6 magnesium rims in an attempt to remove the original metal valve stem.  Now one of the other stems is leaking and I'd hate to have history repeat itself even if I go to another shop.  

Right now, the stem turns in place, nut inclusive, so I can't tighten or even loosen it.   Is there anything I can do resolve this dilemma?
