[alfa] GTV brake rotor removal

Once again, I am hoping some you kind people will help...

I fought all afternoon with my GTV trying to remove the front rotor/hub assembly with the goal of replacing the rotor, inner/outer bearings, caliper and pads. No problem with the first steps: removed the caliper, wheel cap, pin, nut, and outer bearing. Then, I tried to remove the rotor. What a pain that was!!! I had to use a pry bar to do it! I was under the impression that the inner bearing would also come out with the rotor, and then I would have to remove it (the bearing) on the bench. No such luck. The only was I managed to remove the inner bearing was to cut it with my Dremel from the spindle! In the process, I also ruined the seal, but at least that is a cheap part to replace.

My question is, what is the proper/possible way of replacing the rotor and bearing? I still have the other side to work on, so I want to do that one right...

As always, thanks in advance
