[alfa] Racing Minis-Short but OT

Biba says <Not saying Mini's don't handle well, but is it possible this Mini
happened to be the twin engined one?>

Emphatically not. They were front engine with either 997 or 1071cc A Series
BMC engines and were entered by the Cooper Car Company of Formula 1 fame. The
original Mini Coopers in fact. The twin engine mini came much later and was
not a success. The only Four Wheel Drive racing car I know of from that time
was the single seater Ferguson from Harry Ferguson of Tractor fame. I believe
Stirling Moss had a run or two in it and the engineering appeared later in the
Jensen FF (Ferguson Formula).
