[alfa] Air Flow Meter

My 164 starting cutting out while cruising along, eliminated fuel and spark
and have narrowed it down to the "air flow meter"

which parts houses want $600 for.  Is there parts inside this meter (Bosch?)
that could be culprit that might be cheaper to replace? Thanks in advance,
guys!
