Re: [alfa] re no more than 5000 rpm

GUESS WHAT, EVERYBODY????????????????????????????????????

Problem solved, and I would like to give credit to the one guy who
suggested it, but I can't remember who it was.

First, I replaced the rotor,

Then, I bought a fuel pressure kit and took the car on the road to see
if the pressure was bad,

Then, I pulled the spark plugs to see if they were fouled,

Then, I checked the timing,

Then, I switched the ECU with another,

The one thing I didn't do until this weekend was to buy a tach and
compare what it indicated with what the car tach said. It turns out
that the car tach hangs up at 5000 rpm, and the engine is perfectly
happy up to 7000. It was the rev limiter (even the Zat Pandora's Box
ECU one) that decided that there really should be a limit to how fast
the engine should run!

Problem solved--many hours and $100 spent, but I'm a happy camper!!!!

Why is it that one always does the hard ones first??
