Steven,
    The striker plate on the rear of the door frame where the latch assembly
on the door engages should be held in place with two or three bolts.  If you
loosen them you can move that plate all around for adjustment.  Mark where it
is before you loosen it then readjust it accordingly.

My drivers door on my spider (very first alfa) does not close tight and thus
rattles as we drive. The door does not sag and seals are good. Is there any
way to adjust something that would make it close tightly.

Passenger door is fine.
