RE: [alfa] JB Weld and high temperatures

The leak is on the back end of a center muffler--a tiny crack where the flat vertical piece of metal (with the pipes sticking out of it) meets the curved outer shell of the muffler.

JB Weld is glue, all of the other stuff for exhaust leaks is also glue or goo
- - whatever you wanna call it. Where is the leak? if it's at a flange then a
new gasket is the answer, if it's from a pipe or muffler then the only real
solution is weld or replace.

Those are the facts.

JB Weld is good if you want to glue an ornament on your hood - that's about it
though.
