I recommend against using the actual TA to set the pump gap. Not only is it 
hard on the metal tube moving it around that much, but the only proper way 
to set the pump gap is with a dummy TA set to 27mm or 29mm, depending on the 
"T" number of your pump. A dummy TA can be made in about 5 minutes out of a 
1/4" x 5" carriage bolt, 2 nuts, and a washer. If you want to lock the dummy 
TA down with the screws, you might have to flatten the sides of the washer a 
little.
