Re: [alfa] help!!!! spider quits

<After hitting a bump, car won't run/drive at low
RPM, but can be limped around at 3000+>

Check your intake plumbing between the airflow meter
and the intake plenum. (Also check your motor mounts.)

What happened to mine after hours of usage in a parade
is that the intake hose had come loose from the intake
plenum and any amount of torque would cause the motor
to rock over, opening up the joint (cutting off the
fuel). It would then flop back shut and the car would
buck like crazy. If I ran the revs up to 2500 and
slipped the hell out of the clutch, it avoided the
torque lift of the motor and the car would limp
home.

Sounds strange, but worth a shot. (The above references
my '86, which is one generattion older than yours, so
the above ma ynot apply at all, in which case, skip
this message... :) )
