[alfa] Under Dash AC Ducting on 87 Spider Veloce

I have discovered that the reason that my center dash AC vents do not blow
much air is because a rubber hose which feeds them, the one located to the
left of the radio, has pulled loose from the plenum. The problem is, that it
does not seem to reach the plenum. It is an oblong piece of formed rubber and it
just sort of rests on top of the piece to which it is supposed to attach. In
addition, some wires from the radio and the thermostat cable push against it
and deform it so that it does not even match the top of the plenum. The
result is that my good cold AC air is refrigerating my radio and not doing much
else.
What is missing here? Is there a missing sleeve that goes between the plenum
and the oblong hose? If I stretch the hose over the plenum what should I do
to get to stay in place. Surely there must be a fix for this somewhere.
