Yikes, why would you do that?
Seriously, the L-Jet is a lousy system. If you're going to all that
trouble, do a MegaSquirt conversion instead. You can modify the Spica
manifold to take electronic injectors. You can get 19lb injectors really
cheap. Use the type-3 injectors from a late SBC. You can buy fuel rail
form www.rossmachineracing.com for $12/ft. You'll need about 2 feet. The
MegaSquirt has a relay board that mounts under the hood to fuse and relay
everything. You can bypass the TPS with a downloadable code modification.
You'll forgo the flood-clear mode.
Tach signal is taken directly from coil(-). I converted to a Plex on my
L-Jet Spider removing the Bosch spark box. Worked fine.
You'd need the following:
Spica manifold machining, probably about $100
MegaSquirt injection controller. $140 parts. You solder together.
2' fuel rail $24
19lb high-z injectors ~$50 or less
MS relay board $30
Wire ~$30
Injector connectors $30
IAT (intake air temp sensor) $25
CLT (coolant temp sensor) $25 - not the same one as the gauge.
I'd bet the L-Jet conversion will cost you more than that.
While you're at it, use an inductive pickup distributor like a Plex or RML
and insert a GM HEI-7 module for programmable spark advance control too.
