Re: [alfa] Frothy Power Steering fluid

A while back i recall seeing a post about frothy powersteering fluid in a Milano fluid reservoir. Today, my fluid was not only frothy but overflowing the reservoir. It seems as though high pressure is being introduced into the reservoir. Is there some type of regulator that is connected to the pump that may be out or is the pump bad or what ?
thanks.
Leaking pump shaft seal most likely. I have the problem right now. Luckily for me I have a known good spare pump. But I believe there is a seal kit to rebuild the pump. Heh... checking my archives, I see that I sent nearly this exact message to you in Decemeber.

But I also found this courtesy Graham Davis:

Mark. Sounds like you need to replace the power steering pump shaft
seal; the one behind the pulley. Jon Norman at Alfa Parts Berkley can
supply it for under $10 as I recall. If you choose to repair the pump,
you'll need the 'O' rings within which I can supply; contact me
off-digest at grahamldavis@domain.elided.
