[alfa] Re: RCA jacks in trunk of 164



This sounds like a line output converter installed by the PO to supply signal from the radio to a trunk-mounted amp (which must since have been removed). Many, especially older, car amplifiers do not handle the high voltage of the radio speaker outputs, so a line output converter is inserted to reduce the signal level. Also it provides electrical isolation between the two, reducing some sources of noise.
