The recent thread about in tank pumps has me curious. Just how much gas is in
a spider's tank when the low fuel light comes on ? My '85 has just .5 of a
gallon. Not much warning considering the potential damage to running the in
line fuel pump dry.
My experience in the 71 1750 and the 91 2L is that the fuel guesser reads E
when about 10 US gal have been drained from a full tank, and the warning light
comes on about the same time, leaving in the vicinity of 2 US gal in reserve.
