RE: [alfa] Spider Gas Pedal Mod for More Legroom

For those interested in my gas pedal modification that was published about 30
years ago, here it is:

I made it out of 1/8 inch aluminum and it holds two rollerblade skate bearings
that the shoe sole rolls
against to depress the gas pedal. It does give you about two more inches of
legroom and may relieve
some cramping on long drives. The rollerblade bearings are obtainable from
sporting goods shops or
even some bicycle shops and are about 7/8 inch diameter with a 5/16 inch
mounting hole. This
aluminum model is a bit longer than the original in order to contact the pedal
stop at end of travel and
prevent overstressing the pedal linkage.
