Re: Camber Adjustment and other stuff

Hi
Wonderful letter
About the camber.
Rear is not adjustable, but bad camber is sometimes elongated holes for the
subframe to diff flange bolts.
Front is by paper thin shims between strut bottom two bolts and vertical link
or spider.
They are actually 10 thou or 4 thou on early Mk1. I don't think they matter
that much but should be the same on each side.
My car had them one side and not other and was skinning off the tyre tread
in 8000 miles on the bad side.
I fitted them to this side and now my tyre has done 15000 miles still has 4
mill min and can be switched to the rear for another 10000.
Little tiny washer. Saves loads of dosh. I got mine from the Stag centre 0044

Or you can make them by grinding flat a washer.
