Ignition Question - Part II



Hi Chris

The single point distributor had a very small 'dwell angle' which caused
poor running/high emmissions at high engine speeds plus a lumpy tickover. 
Can't give you the figures as I'm in Geneva at the moment and didn't bring
any Stag data with me.

Irrespective of where your Lumenition sensor is fitted, hopefully the
garage would have reset the timing correctly.

Even with electronic ignition, a worn distributor shaft would have given a
degree of erratic timing.
