Dear All

It seems this weekend that LucasVarity has rolled over to TRW UK (a
subsidiary of TRW Inc.) which is making a final share offer.  Thus, Lucas
is now owned by a US-baed conglomerate mainly specialising in auto parts
for the OE and after-market.  That is the good side.

However, TRW haven't got where they are out of sentimentality for classic
cars and according to city analysts have a record of closing down
unprofitable activities and dying production plants.  Let's hope it doesn't
affect us.
