Website Explanation

Good Morning All,

With reference to the pictures at
http://website.lineone.net/~chris.fereday/

I forgot to include an explanation for the pictures. The Dolomite Sprint
photo was taken at my twin brother's wedding.

Starting from the far left, The red Sprint in Mini Cooper Tartan red
(non-standard Triumph colour) owned by Simon Bell of Long Sutton in
Lincolnshire, England.
It was restored several years ago and won a few 'concours' awards. The car
is no longer entered into competitions, but last year won the 'Best Car of
the Day award, as voted by the visitors to the Triumph Dolomite Show
(SODIT).

Second left is the Vermillion Sprint owned by my twin brother. This was
written off by the previous owner, who took it too quickly round a wet
roundabout. My brother has carried out a rolling restoration over 10 years
of ownership and last year he entered it into the competition for the first
time. It won the best restored class.

Third left is Carmine Red Sprint belonging to Stuart Smith. Stuart is the
long suffering garage mechanic / bodywork specialist, who has put up with my
brother and I taking 'rust buckets' to him to convert into gleaming examples
for as little money as possible. He made the fatal mistake of claiming that
one day he would show us how to do the job properly... We found this Sprint
in a barn, complete with matching yellow doors and the rest is history...
This Sprint is the current Concours Winner.

Finally, the Mid-pageant Blue Sprint - mine. This used to belong to a friend
of mine who sold it to a colleague for £1,400. The colleague had a major
body restoration carried out on it at a cost of £1,600 (photos will appear
shortly) before is was mothballed in a garage for 3 years. The car was never
put back together. I bought the pile of bits 2 years ago for £500.
With the help of the 3 people mentioned above, the car was put back on the
road and has since had a Webasto sunroof fitted.

The wedding was the first time all 4 cars had been together in the same
place at the same time. Usually, one is either in storage or suffering from
a mechanical ailment.

My Blue Sprint is for sale at £1,800. If anyone is interested, please
contact me at the above e-mail address.

Finally, please note that under this picture is a photograph of my recent
addition - my Stag.

Thanks for the interest.
Chris
