There's a company in the UK that offers a ready to plug in solution.

It's a reconditioned ZF HP-22 out of a Jaguar 4 speed autobox. It gives the same overall ratio as the manual gearbox with overdrive, and has a torque converter lock-up. It comes as a complete kit including propshaft and all necessary fittings. 

No body modifications are necessary and it utilises the standard automatic
gear lever.

The price is #1500 no VAT.
