Lumenition ??

Hey Hello and Happy easter.

Whilst normal mortals are stuffing themselves full of chocolate and getting
a caffine hit, I like many other Stag owners am getting high on the smell
of WD40 and swet (Sob Sob) whilst spending time on or should that be under
my car.
Still it keeps the Weight down.

Now to the point, The car is a 1977 MKII Stag with Lumenition ignition
fitted the car has had the low tension cct disturbed in order to replace
the water pump. ( After saying that I had no troubles with my cooling
system about a week ago, well I will never say that again but back to the
point. On re assemblally we have ended up with no spark.

Can anyone tell me what the outputs should be from a Lumenition electronic
ignition box, mine seems to be, well broke for want of a better word with a
+ve 6 volt output from the Brown ( trigger wire ??) falling to 0 Volts when
the chopper passes through the beam ( but still no spark). The ignition
relay did get a bit wet whilst flushing the radiator through but this was
covered in WD40 and is now dry the coil by the by is a 12 volt bosh, with
no ballast resistor.

All the Haynes and Leyland manuals seem to ignore that MkII Stags had this
fitted !!!

Cheers

Ron Brown
