Betcha the side mounts are in the same location for AMC 6's and V-8's---
Thus, IH could have just dropped a 401 in the same fram that was used for
the I-6's.

Sounds like they solved the length problem on the 727's with the long
tailshaft rather than a unique, longer front case.
