I have a 75 and remember when I changed out mine there was a difference between the 75 and a 73. However if you buy the combo (booster and MC) it is a straight swap. I think the difference is the mounting between the MC and the booster.

I could be wrong but that is what I remember. Hope it helps.

It should be the same booster as for the later Scout II's, however; if
they are showing a different booster in the books you can buy the later
booster listed and bolt it right in. It is cheaper as a combo, that is
booster and cylinder together.
