RE: [ihc] Pete's Choking!

Pete:

I'll try and remember to scan what I have in the Chiltons and/or IH Scout
manual and email it to you.

I suspect that the 2210C designation is actually enough. Those kits cover
virtually all variants of a particular model. Actually, I've still got my
last kit with the non-used, spare parts in it in my garage. I was just
thinking about chucking it the other day since it's been there for years and
is really of no value to me. I can look at the NAPA kit number on it and
tell you when I'm home - again if I don't get sidetracked by the latest
crisis there.

Cookie Dan aside, one thing I've found out about Thermoquads is that they
are just as capable as any other carburetor, if you get to understand them.
Saying they are junk is like so many statements that pass for fact these
days, purely qualitative. Ask anyone who says that to quantify that. If
they say that Holley's are king, that's only because the Holley systems are
more popular and there is more understanding of them. Both carburetors do
the same thing and have similar circuitry. They just approach the process a
little differently.

Joel can chime in on this. He's "field dressed" his Thermoquad more than a
few times IIRC. I know I saw him do it once at IHWR.
